I sold my car today.
Now I am retired I don't feel I need one.
I walked back in the driving rain with my umbrella.
A pedestrian for the first time in donkey's years.
Passing the stressed out drivers stuck at the lights
made me glad to no longer be one of them.
I felt like Gene Kelly!
Had a few dreams last week where I'd being going to work
then remember, on arrival or part way through the journey,
that I shouldn't be there at all.
The annoying thing is (in the dreams) I felt a bit disappointed.
Excluded.
I used to dream about being late for work.
When I woke up I'd wonder why I was so stressed in the dream.
In real life I never gave a shit if I was late.
Well...the trip to Sweden was good and the TFK days were excellent.
I'll get back to posting something 'proper' soon.
regards
Titus
Thank for the update. Appreciated since I still have ten months to go before retirement. Btw, I had to check the meaning of "donkey's years". Nice one that I'll keep in mind.

How do you intend to spend your time when you retire Derek?
DeleteDon't know yet. Getting depressed, starting a blog, enjoying barbecue... We'll see. :)
DeleteI am happy to eat at other people's BBQs. No stranger to bouts of depression. Blogging is not easy!
